About

The 19th Annual Southeast Regional Ethics Bowl will be held on November 11th, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Rollins College, in Winter Park, Florida. Our Regional Bowl, like the 25-year-old National Bowl, provides an opportunity for students to engage in thoughtful consideration of important ethical issues of the day. The regional ethics bowls serve as Qualifiers for the Twentieth First Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl Competition to be held at the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics Annual Meeting.

Only teams that participate in a regional bowl and rank among the best in each region are eligible to compete in the National Bowl. Schools may participate in the regional bowl without planning to send a team to the national competition, however that must be noted on the Registration Form. Up to 20 teams will participate in our regional bowl this year. Each school may only register 1 team, unless an additional team is needed to balance out the competition.

We will use the format of 4 Rounds culminating in a Final.

Like last year, the Rounds will be decided by the number of Judges voting for the team. Tiebreakers will be decided by point differentials. Total Points will only be used if the number of Judges and point differentials are also a tie.

This year there are some improvement to the Registration process. See the Registration tab for more information.
